After the game we had dinner with Jeff and Amanda, close friends of ours who had a little boy, Gavin, a month prior to me having Aiden. We hope they become friends since they are so close in age. Dominic and Jeff probably wish they will become rugby players like thier dads. If you have ever seen a rugby game - they are very rough and brutal with true athleticism - however, I am not sure I ready to think of my sweet little baby boy like that yet.
It is hard to believe Aubrey is going to be two in less than a month - time goes unbelievably fast with babies. Since I have 12 weeks off for my maternity leave, I thought I would start potty training with her since I am with her most of the week. Dominic and I actaully started with her before I had Aiden but I didn't push it since she still is pretty little yet. I am so excited to say that she is doing awesome - way better than I ever expected. I will spare the details, but I hope to have her pretty independent in the toilet training by the time I have to go back to work. Aubrey loves to mimic me now in everything I do - including putting her dolls on the toilet to go potty. She is so funny too - in that when you ask her if she is all done she always says "almost".
Some cute pictures of Aubrey and Aiden together. I am not sure if Aiden can see a lot yet but you can tell he can definitely hear his sister talking to him all the time.
On a side note, I just finished a beautiful book on faith with a mother who loses her child. (A compelling read - I finished it in a day and a half.) It is a true story and the woman also writes a blog I sometimes read. If you are a mother you will probaby cry through most of the book, but definitely worth the read.
