Some catching up to do . . .

We have been pretty busy these past few weeks so I have a little catching up to do. A week and a half ago one of my close friends since Kindergarden got married - Congrats April and Mike! She was a beautiful vintage bride with a gorgeous dress, stunning necklace, and small fishnet veil. The ceremony was outside and they had great weather with lots of sun. April picked out cute ocean blue dresses for us to wear and accented with green all over her reception - it looked awesome. By the end of the night we were all dancing up a storm - as you can see in the pictures. Another fun, beautiful wedding for one of my friends!

This past weekend Aubrey and I traveled to Dayton, Ohio to visit my brother and sister-in-law with my mom and dad, and Erika, Max, and Mya. We decided to fly since the flight was only 51 minutes instead of driving the eight hours with three little ones under the age of 2. Aubrey did great on the flights and I tnink surprised the passengers around us by hardly making any noise. The plane you take is very small and only certain seats are for passengers traveling with infants so we couldn't sit by each other either. On Sunday night Aubrey and I traveled back home by ourselves and the rest stayed until Tuesday. Aubrey was so good and proved to be a great traveler. Chris and Kathie just built a beautiful new home which Aubrey, Max, and Mya intiated a little - Chris and Kathie are expecting a baby boy in January. We had a great time and got to go to fun splash pad with the kids with a huge sandbox and multiple play gyms - most of the pictures are from that day. We also went to the Columbus Zoo on Saturday which is huge with a zoo, waterpark, and amusement park all in one. {I didn't get any pictures from that day because it was very crowded and we had to leave a little early due to rain. The other pictures are of Aubrey at the airport.} Then on Sunday we went to big outlet mall and got to do lots of shopping. Aubrey got new shoes that light up and I got something for the wall for hew big girl room which I have to work on soon. It was a fun and busy extened weekend which we hope to do again sometime since it worked out so well.

And another picture just for fun. This was Aubrey today relaxing in the swing with her "ba" after a busy couple of weeks!

State Fair

On Monday we went to the Wisconsin State Fair and had great weather. Aubrey loved seeing all the animals but Max was pretty scared. We ate a ton of food and Aubrey especially loved the Wisconsin baked potatoes, grilled cheese, and of course the cream puffs. She wasn't afraid to dig in. The boys (Dominic and Charlie) even took the kids down the big green slide. There was also a group of African drummers playing drums and singing on the midway. Max and Aubrey danced and played drums along with them and had so much fun. You can see somewhat from the video my dad took on his phone.

Heinzel's Last Night Out

This past weekend I got to spend some much needed time with my dear friends and celebrate Heinzel's bachelorete party. Sweeney did a great job planning it and we started out at a suite in the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. From there we only made it to one bar and were done partying by 12:30am - lets just say the bride to be had a really good time!

The blushing bride.

Summer is so much fun!

This week Erika, Max, and Mya came over on my day off. Max and Aubrey love playing together and it was beautiful outside, so we put the sprinkler out. They loved it and definitely weren't afraid of getting wet!

And the clothes are off!

Fourteen Months

So I was a little overdue getting Aubrey's one year pictures taken. She is almost 14 months now - time goes by way too fast. Here is a link to see her new pictures:

We also took pictures as a family of three which we haven't done since she was just 3months old. They turned out really good. You wouldn't be able to tell from the pictures that Aubrey wasn't the most cooperative that day. She didn't want to sit or stand by herself, but the photographer made it work and caught a couple of smiles. Usually it is so hard to make her smile for pictures - she definitely doesn't smile for me when I take pictures of her. She's too interested in the camera in front of her face to smile. I have to catch her off guard.

I love this age as she is so much fun and interactive! Her vocabulary is expanding daily with her favorite words being "mama", "da", "ba ba", "dog", and "ca ca" (which is actually the spanish word for poop, but we use it for anything that is icky or she shouldn't put in her mouth - it is something I always grew up with). It seems as though she can understand everything you say to her and will answer questions appropritely with shaking her head yes or no. She loves when you ask her is she wants a snack! She is a great eater and especially loves fruit. She can down a whole pint of raspberries in one sitting - but to be fair they are really sweet and good right now. She has been walking for well over four months now and can go up and down satirs easily. We are enjoying every minute with a happy, healthy, and fun toddler!

Saying "oh"!

What a ham!
